This application should only be completed if:

  • You are applying for a business license for the first time with the Town of Dewey Beach.
  • It has been more than one year since you have renewed your license with the Town of Dewey Beach.

Fee Schedule

Small Business (4 or less total employees in the company): $260

Large Business (5 or more total employees in the company): $520

This application and fee schedule does not apply to Motel/Hotels, Conference Center of Food & Beverage Establishments.

  • You may be required to submit a Notification of Work or obtain a Building Permit for your planned work. Please visit the Building & Zoning FAQ page for further information.

  • Please contact Town Hall at (302)227-6363 prior to completing your business license application if you plan to conduct any business on the beach.

If you prefer to pay by check, click here for a printable version of the application and mail to 105 Rodney Ave., Dewey Beach, DE 19971. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Dewey Beach.

Applications are accepted in person at Town Hall - Credit Card payments at town hall are subject to a 3% convenience fee.
