The Town of Dewey Beach is thrilled to announce Dewey Dog Day, a special celebration honoring one of our town's favorite traditions - dogs on the beach! Each year, the first Monday after Labor Day marks the start of a dog's favorite season here in Dewey Beach, when pups and their people can enjoy a full day of beach fun with no restricted hours, giving furry friends the freedom to romp in the sand and splash in the surf from sunrise to sunset.

This year, we'll celebrate the occasion on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00am - 12:00pm on the beach at Van Dyke Avenue. This dog-friendly event will feature local vendors, giveaways, and prizes from Dewey Beach businesses. Attendees can also browse exclusive Dewey Beach merchandise, and take advantage of discounted commemorative lifetime dog licenses - perfect for frequent four-pawed visitors.

Dewey Beach has always been known as a dog-lovers paradise, and Dewey Dog Day is a way to celebrate our community's love for dogs while supporting local businesses and connecting neighbors and visitors. We hope to see you there!
