Job Description:

The Dewey Beach Police Department is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Police Officers for the 2026 Summer Season.

Requirements:

• 18 years old or older

• US Citizen

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver’s license

• No Criminal arrests

Applicants who meet the requirements will need to pass the following to be considered for the position:

Oral Board

Interview

Background Investigation

Drug Screen

Seasonal police officers start at $19.00 per hour. This position qualifies as an internship at most colleges and universities.
