This past December, we reached out to notify you that previously-approved federal funding for a flood mitigation project on Read Avenue was being withheld. We asked that you contact our state representatives and urge them to take action to help release this approved funding.

We extend our sincere thanks to all who reached out to their state representatives in support of releasing this funding for flood mitigation. Your voices truly made a difference.

Because of your advocacy, the funding has been released and the flood mitigation project is officially back on track. This project is an important step in protecting our community, homes, businesses, and infrastructure for the future.
