The Dewey Beach Winter Watch program is a free service provided by the Dewey Beach Police Department. Because many of our property owners do not reside in Dewey Beach full time, our police department works alongside Town Hall staff to maintain contact information for each property in the event of water or storm damage, or suspicious activity. Our goal is to ensure that we can reach the appropriate party in the event of any concerns. Winter Watch is NOT a property management company. While the DBPD routinely patrols town, we do not perform regular checks of every property that submits their information. If you have a specific concern regarding your property, you are encouraged to call either Dewey Beach Police at (302)227-1110, or the Dewey Beach Town Hall at (302)227-6363.
In previous years, you were required to register to participate in the Winter Watch program. Thanks to enhanced record-keeping by the town, all properties are now considered "registered" under the Winter Watch program. However, we request that property owners keep their contact information up-to-date with Town Hall. On the form below, you also have the option of providing additional contacts, alarm companies, and property management companies associated with your property. Not sure if you've sent updated information recently? Feel free to submit the form below. Town Hall staff will ensure your information is recorded.
