Construction Rules

GENERAL

• County and Town Building Permits must be conspicuously displayed.
• All contractors and sub-contractors must have a current Dewey Beach Business License.
• All job sites must have trash containers.
• No materials or trash containers may be placed in the town right-of-way.
• Site must be secured during high wind and/or high water conditions.
• No port-o-johns may be placed without a Town permit.

PERMITTED DATES AND TIMES

• No work permitted on Sundays.
• No work permitted on state holidays, unless the construction is inside and enclosed structure and creating no noise disturbance.

May 15th - September 15th

• No work on Saturdays by contractors.
• Weekday work by contractors is permitted from 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Homeowners may do work on their properties weekdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm and weekends and holidays 9:00am to 6:00pm.

September 16th - May 14th

• Weekday work by contractors is permitted from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
• Homeowners may do work on their properties weekdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm and weekends and holidays 9:00am to 6:00pm.
