Temporary Expansion of Premise Application

If you are seeking to hold a special event that would extend into the parking area of your business, you must file a Temporary Expansion of Premise Request at least 45 days in advance of your proposed event. Permits for temporary expansion of patron areas may be granted by the Commissioners of the Town of Dewey Beach following a public hearing pursuant to the limitations and conditions outlined in Table 3 of the Town Code. Please review these limitations prior to submission of this request.

Once submitted, your application will be sent to Town Hall for review by administrative staff. A date will then be selected for a Public Hearing, where your request will be heard and voted on by the Dewey Beach Town Council. You will be notified with the date of the Public Hearing, and are encouraged to attend. Please note there is a $500.00 application fee for a Temporary Expansion of Premise Request. Applications submitted without payment will not be reviewed.
